Where to Stay in Paris

The question I keep getting from friends and readers is: where should I stay in Paris? I have written posts on this topic over the years, but I have never compiled a master list of the different types of hotels for different budgets and trip types. This blog post covers the best neighborhoods in Paris, where to stay as a solo traveler, budget-friendly options, off-the-beaten-path spots, and recommendations for first-time visitors. Once you have booked your plane or train reservation, the next question should be where to stay in Paris.

How Paris is Arranged

Paris is divided into 20 neighborhoods, called arrondissements, arranged on the map like a snail. The arrondissements with the lowest numbers are closer to the center, and the higher numbers are farther from the Seine. Each neighborhood has a unique vibe, making the arrondissement distinctive. The Seine River divides the city into the Right and Left Banks. Parisians and visitors usually have very strong opinions about which bank they prefer. If it is your first time in Paris, form your opinion on which bank you like best. There is no wrong answer.

first time visit to Paris where to stay

It is common for Parisians to stay in their neighborhood to meet friends, grocery shop, have coffee, and dine out. Each arrondissement has cafés, restaurants, butchers, bakeries, and everything you need within a short walk.

Metro stations throughout the city give visitors and locals easy access to Paris’ monuments, main attractions, and parks. The metro and bus systems are easy to navigate. This post breaks down how to get around Paris in more detail. I have also broken down the best bus lines to take in The Paris Guide for more in-depth information on navigating the city.

The Best Paris Neighborhoods for First-Time Visitors

the best neighborhoods in Paris for first time visitors

When visiting Paris for the first time, you will most likely want to be in the city’s center. Take this opportunity to be close to the museums, the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs-Élysées, and the Eiffel Tower. The best neighborhoods for a first-time visitor are on both the Left Bank and the Right Bank. It all depends on what you want to be closest to and your priority.

Paris Hotels in the 1st Arrondissement

grand hotel du palais royal everyday parisian

The heart of Paris beats in the 1st Arrondissement. If you can stay in this area on your first visit, you will be well situated in the city center and a quick walk away from the most popular tourist attractions. The Louvre Museum and the Jardin des Tuileries are here. Expect higher prices because the hotel location is prime in the 1st arrondissement.

Paris travel tips

Splurge Options: I personally love the Grand Hotel du Palais Royal. It is one of my favorite hotels in Paris and offers incredible views from the suites, including the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre.

The location is just a few minutes’ walk to Palais Royal, one of my favorite places in Paris.

Chateau Voltaire Hotel in the 1st Arrondissement in Paris

One of my new favorite hotels is Hotel Château Voltaire. I stayed here in January 2024 and want to share my experience with everyone. The attention to detail and service were at the next level. Located on Avenue de l’Opéra, you are well situated within walking distance to Palais Royal, The Louvre, and Tuileries. Don’t miss out on lunch at Brasserie L’Emil or a cocktail at the bar.

Budget-Friendly Hotels: Hotel Therese in the 1st Arrondissement of Paris

Budget-Friendly Options: Hotel Therese is the sister hotel of Adele and Jules ( a reader favorite). The hotels are within walking distance of the Louvre and offer reasonable rates in the first arrondissement.

There are multiple metro lines from here to other parts of the city, including the Trocadero, where you can see the Eiffel Tower and the Musée D’Orsay. I love to walk around the city as much as possible, and it is the best way to see Paris.

Paris Hotels in the 2nd Arrondissement

The 2nd arrondissement is a central location to stay in Paris. One of my favorite streets, Rue Montorgueil, is perfect for a cocktail, a glass of wine, or an afternoon stroll. The pedestrian street, filled with food shops, has evolved since I first fell in love with it over ten years ago, and now houses more commercial chain shops. You can identify the street by the mosaic white tiles that glisten in the rain.

The best hotels in this area are still within walking distance of the Louvre Hotel and Place Vendome.

Place Vendome at Christmas

Splurge: Park Hyatt Paris. This hotel, with views of the Tuileries and Place Vendôme, is perfectly located for a first-time visit to Paris. Hyatt members, you will want to upgrade here to a Paris balcony.

Maison Barrière Vendôme is located in the 1st arrondissement and is centrally located for the Tuileries, shopping on Rue St. Honoré, and museums such as Jeu de Paume and Hôtel de la Marine. I have a stay booked here soon and will be back with my full recap.

Kimpton St Honore, I had the pleasure of staying here for a few nights when it first opened. The rooms are high-tech, with window shades that open with a button. Inside rooms have quiet balcony views of the courtyard, and the exterior rooms face onto the Boulevards des Capucines. Don’t miss the rooftop bar with panoramic views of the city and the Eiffel Tower. You are also within a quick walk of the Opera. They also have a dog brunch on the first Sunday of every month.

Hoxton Paris The Hoxton Paris is a great place to stay in the 2nd arrondissement. It is a bit tucked away from the main attractions, but it is still walkable. You will be a mix of restaurants and shops, feeling like a local. Don’t miss the Sézane apartment around the corner to do some shopping. You can enjoy a cocktail at the bar even if you don’t stay here.

Hotel Hana Paris 2nd Arrondissement Boutique Hotel

Hotel Hana is fairly new and a great option for a centrally located Paris hotel. The hotel is a five-star hotel with a Japanese-French mix. Don’t miss the hotel restaurant Hanabi for a delicious lunch or dinner. I enjoyed two nights here last year and splurged for the balcony, which was totally worth it. The detox massage in their beautiful spa was memorable, but their staff and hospitality were not.

Paris Hotels in the 3rd Arrondissement

The 3rd Arrondissement is home to the Marais, one of my favorite parts of Paris. It is centrally located and contains some of the oldest buildings in Paris. The Marais is also known for incredible restaurants, coffee shops, and shops. You can easily spend a good amount of time exploring this area without leaving the arrondissement.

Explore Square du Temple and book an afternoon at the Picasso Museum.

Grand Mazarin is a newly opened hotel in the Marais. It was under construction and delayed, but the wait was well worth it. The decor is bright and wild, but somehow, they make it work well. Some of the hotel rooms have balconies, and I highly recommend upgrading.

Pavillon de la Reine Paris

Pavillon de la Reine is a boutique hotel gem located inside Place des Vosges. It is easy to walk by the hotel if you don’t know it is there. The hotel courtyard is stunning in different seasons, with green vines in spring, jasmine-filled balconies in summer, and red ivy in fall. Pavillon de la Reine will make your stay memorable with personalized service. Don’t miss a visit to their one star Michelin restaurant, Anne.

The Marais is split between the 3rd and 4th arrondissements. The vibe in both areas is similar, and they are especially buzzing on Sundays. In the past, Paris closed most of its shops on Sundays. The Marais is also the Jewish quarter, with restaurants and shops closed on Saturdays for Shabbat. Sundays are full of music, overflowing cafés, and so much energy from locals and tourists.

For a 3-star budget-friendly hotel in the heart of the 4th arrondissement in Paris, check out Caron de Beaumarchais. It has unique decor, but what makes this property special is its location and front balcony views. There aren’t many front-room balconies, so book early and be flexible with dates if you want this hotel. The secret is out on this one. I have heard positive reviews from readers, and breakfast is one of my favorites. Have it delivered to your room for a balcony breakfast you will remember for years.

Hotels in Paris: The 5th Arrondissement

Located on the Left Bank of Paris, the 5th arrondissement provides a different experience. The Latin Quarter, which includes the Pantheon, Jardin des Plantes, and Shakespeare and Co., is a popular destination for visitors because of its location.

jardin des plantes in the spring Paris

Hotel Monge is a lovely hotel located just steps from Jardin des Plantes. I stayed in this hotel a few years ago when it first opened and loved the decor and the nod to the gardens. You will find markets, coffee shops, and boulangeries surrounding the hotel to make you feel like a local. It is centrally located but tucked away just enough.

hotel monge Paris hotel in the 5th arrondissement

Hôtel Dame des Arts is a newly opened hotel in the 5th arrondissement. The rooms are small, but the views make up for it. You can’t beat the rooftop view and the Eiffel Tower from your balcony. If you are staying in the area, book a rooftop cocktail for sunset.

Paris Hotels in The 6th Arrondissement

Villa des Pres Paris 6th arrondissement hotel

Villa des Prés is a newly opened hotel in the 6th arrondissement in Paris, just off Rue de Buci. For Left Bank lovers, the location couldn’t be beat. You are perfectly tucked away with a discreet entrance. It is easy to pass by the hotel if you don’t know it is there. The lobby is small and welcoming, with a breakfast area and a bar for coffee and cocktails. Villa des Prés decor is more masculine, with browns and leathers mixed in with art in every room. Restaurants, bars, and art galleries surround the hotel, making so much of what Paris offers within walking distance.

Villa des Pres

Don’t miss Luxembourg Gardens, situated between the sixth and seventh arrondissements.

Luxembourg gardens Paris

Hotel des Grands Voyageurs is tucked away in the 6th arrondissement. The hotel pays attention to the details of the traveler. I enjoyed my stay here and upgraded to a Junior Suite, the highest room category. Hotel des Grands Voyageurs is a great value. I loved my room’s record players and jazz offerings, which were an added feature. The hotel offers connecting family rooms with privacy doors. If you need two rooms, this is an excellent option for the price, location, and updated amenities.

Where to Stay in Paris: The 7th Arrondissement

Pavillon Faubourg Saint Germain is located in the 7th Arrondissement. The hotel is a combination of three buildings. One has been under renovation, while the other two are modern but don’t look exactly like the photo below. You can request your room type when booking. I highly recommend a balcony view. If you mention EDP when booking, you will have a special amenity. Update, the hotel continues to update rooms and rennovate every year. This continues to be a personal favorite of mine.

pavillon faubourg saint germain

From this Left Bank location, you can walk to the Louvre in 10 minutes or explore everything the area has to offer. Boulevard St Germain des Près, coffee shops, and boutiques are also just a quick walk away.

Check out this post to explore Saint-Germain-des-Prés one of the most popular neighborhoods in Paris.

Le Grand Hotel Cayré on Boulevard Raspail is centurally located for exploring the 7th arrondissement. I have stayed at this hotel several times in 2025 and happy to recommend it to friends and family looking for a Left Bank hotel. The hotel is newly refurbished with modern bathrooms and decor. Some rooms offer a balcony view looking onto the Parisian rooftops and are worth the upgrade. Le Grand Hotel Cayré also offers a handful of rooms with an Eiffel Tower view.

Le Narcisse Blanc is a five-star hotel on the Left Bank between Pont Alexandre III and the Eiffel Tower. It is a quiet boutique hotel perfect for couples or solo travelers. Enjoy a coffee or breakfast in the stunning glass-filled atrium just off the lobby. Cleo, the hotel restaurant, is perfect for lunch or dinner. While this has been a reader favorite for years and one of the most booked hotels, I have found it to be in need of some updates and feels dated after a recent visit.

Paris Hotels with Eiffel Tower Views

If this is your first time in Paris or you are celebrating a special occasion such as an anniversary, birthday, or girls’ trip, you might want an Eiffel Tower view. This is a popular request, and I hope more hotels make booking easier, as it doesn’t always show the view or identify that an Eiffel Tower view is guaranteed.

La Comtesse Paris.

Hotel Comtesse is a boutique hotel just around the corner from the Eiffel Tower. The location is excellent if you want an Eiffel Tower view and to be situated in this part of Paris. I stayed here one night a few summers ago to check out the hotel and the view. I loved that you could book an Eiffel Tower view exclusively with the hotel. There was an upcharge, and I stayed in a Prestige Room, which was worth it. You can have a side view or a head-on view. On my first trip to Paris, I was convinced I would have a view of the Eiffel Tower, but it wasn’t within my budget. Now, I am on the hunt for budget-friendly options for other travelers.

Hotel Grand Powers Paris Luxury Hotel

Hotel Grand Powers is the sister hotel of Grand Hotel du Palais Royal in the 8th arrondissement. They remodeled in 2019 to move from a 4 to a 5-star hotel. The remodel is stunning and takes the historical Parisian details to a different level. Every room is stunning, and the views of the Eiffel Tower and Paris rooftops are magical. The hotel is located close to the Champs-Élysées for travelers looking for that specific location.

Maison Mère is located in the 9th arrondissement. I have stayed here multiple times. The staff is extremely friendly, warm, and welcoming. The rooms are clean and well-equipped with everything you need for a modern stay in Paris, including charging outlets and a tech-focused room. Some of the rooms even have balconies and views of the Eiffel Tower.

Adèle and Jules. Paris Hotel in the 9th Arrondissement

I had the opportunity to stay at Adèle and Jules multiple times and loved the experience each time. It is made up of two buildings: one is Adèle, and the other is Jules. The staff is helpful with restaurant recommendations and neighborhood activities. There is breakfast in the lobby, tea time, and an honesty bar. The street the hotel is on is a quiet, family-friendly street. You will sleep soundly and comfortably. Room 44 was the one I stayed in, and there was plenty of space for two people. Great for couples or friends. They could accommodate a large group in individual rooms.

The 9th Arrondissement isn’t for everyone; I love it because there are so many great restaurants, and it feels more like a local experience. The location is just enough away from the Paris monuments and the city center, filled with tourists. Check out this guide to the 9th arrondissement for more places to explore.

Hotel Massé is also located in the 9th arrondissement and is on my list for an upcoming trip to Paris. Located just between the 9th and 18th by the Pigalle Metro. The hotel is centrally located for discovering this part of Paris.

Boutique Hotels in Paris

I have been lucky enough to have had some fantastic stays in Paris over the years. Regarding hotels, I prefer boutique hotels in Paris over larger hotels for the personalized service and attention to detail. This is my list of 10 Paris boutique hotels that I have loved and stayed at, and I recommend them to anyone traveling to Paris, which continues to grow and change. If you have a favorite hotel or place to stay in Paris, please comment below and share it with all of us.

This post has been updated over the years, with some hotels removed and others added. I want you to have the best trip to Paris possible, and I want you to enjoy your hotel choice.

Boutique Hotels in Paris: Hôtel Château Voltaire

Hôtel Château Voltâire is a luxury hotel in the heart of Paris that opened in the past few years. The hotel was on my radar of hotels to check out, but I always put it on the back burner. I regret this decision and am happy I finally stayed here in early 2024. I booked the second room category and was upgraded to the Prestige category room. The room was spacious, with the most beautiful double sink bathroom. Large windows opened and looked out onto Avenue de L’Opéra, where I could enjoy the snow. My particular room had a banquette seating area that doubled as a dining space and a workspace. It is where I sat with my laptop in the evening writing.

The hotel pays attention to every detail of their guest. You will receive an intake email before your arrival to share your preferences. I noted that my favorite radio station was TSF Jazz, and they made sure to have it playing on the radio upon arrival. The hotel welcomed me with a few items to sweeten my stay, including the most beautiful and fragrant flowers.

Chateau Voltaire Boutique Hotel Paris Turndown Service Prestige Room

Hotel guests can book private access to the pool and sauna on the ground floor. Recharge after a long day of sightseeing in the city of light at Hôtel Château Voltâire.  I forgot my swimsuit and didn’t have the opportunity to take advantage of this hotel perk during my stay.

Best Paris Boutique Hotels

The front desk staff and concierge service will treat you like guests in their own home. They went above and beyond to make sure my stay was memorable. I wish I booked a longer stay, and I can’t wait for my next visit.

Chateau Voltaire Boutique Hotel Paris Cocktail Bar

Pro tip: Do not miss out on the hotel bar and restaurant. I had the most fantastic cocktail with Mezcal (you may be able to request it!) The cocktail bar is quiet and intimate and a great place to start or end your evening in Paris. You can order directly from the restaurant menu for small bites to be enjoyed in the bar or lobby area of the hotel. Book a lunch at the restaurant and order the fennel and artichoke salad if available. It is one of their signature dishes and one I keep thinking about.

The hotel Location is a short distance to Palais Royal, Grands Boulevards, and the Opéra Garnier.

Le Narcisse Blanc Boutique Hotel

Le Narcisse Blanc Boutique Hotel Paris

Le Narcisse Blanc on the Left Bank is a gem on the Left Bank and a dream for design lovers. I enjoyed my stay here and can’t wait to visit again soon. The hotel is in a cream, gold, and pink palate, my favorite color scheme. I felt right at home in this cozy hotel. While waiting to prepare my room, I enjoyed tea and cookies while people-watching in the lobby. Enjoy the natural light coming in from the big windows and bright and airy filled lobby. Even on a grey day in Paris, the lobby is beautiful.

You can enjoy breakfast in the hotel restaurant or order room service. Ordering breakfast in the room was excellent, so I could extend working a bit on my computer before setting out for a day of exploring. Le Narcisse Blanc is close to the Musée d’Orsay, so if this museum is on your list, you are in a prime location.

Hotel Monge Paris Boutique Hotel Left Bank

hotel monge Paris boutique hotel

Hotel Monge is located on the Left Bank of Paris, near Jardin des Plantes and the Latin Quarter. I stayed here when they first opened, and the staff was so sweet. I loved the attention to detail in every room. Upon arrival, I was welcomed as I was staying in someone’s home instead of being another number at a large hotel. The Juliette balcony was lovely, and I had a great view outside my window. This is an excellent option if you are looking for a Left Bank, affordable, clean hotel.

Hotel Monge’s ambiance and decor nod to the nearby Jardin des Plantes. You won’t want to miss a stroll through this Left Bank garden especially during peak blossom season.

Don’t miss stopping by one of my favorite coffee shops, Strada if you stay here.

Hôtel Dame Des Arts

hotel dame des arts paris boutique hotel

Hôtel Dame des Arts is located in the Latin Quarter on a tiny side street close to Notre Dame Cathedral. I stayed here last year for my birthday, and I booked based on the newly remodeled hotel rooms and the rooftop terrace with Eiffel Tower views. The hotel was an old Holiday Inn and was recently given a major face lift with modern amenities.

Some of the rooms offer Eiffel Tower views, and booking these or choosing the upgrade is entirely worth it. My room was very small but typical for Parisian hotels, and the views completely made up for it. If you are traveling solo, the classic and signature rooms are manageable. Rooms are compact but well-designed and use every bit of space. Expect limited hanging space in the closet, and luggage fits underneath the bed. If you book here, limit the size of your suitcases to maximize space.

I would splurge for a Premium Signature room with a terrace or a junior suite with an Eiffel Tower view for more space. Diptyque bath products were an added feature I loved.

Hotel Dame des Arts Rooftop View Paris Eiffel Tower Boutique Hotel

Visit the on-site restaurant for lunch or dinner, the restaurant is located in the base of the hotel and is where breakfast is offered to hotel guests. Hôtel Dame des Arts has a  rooftop bar with 360 views of Paris. Make sure to take time to watch Eiffel Tower sparkle at the top of the hour after dusk. The rooftop bar is weather permitting. Cocktails from the downstairs bar can be brought up to enjoy the view for guests.

If you are traveling in the summer months or for the Paris Olympics, it is good to know they have air-conditioned rooms. Each room has temperature controls to be adjusted by individual guests.

One thing not to miss, the fitness center is worth checking out even if you don’t plan to work out. The design of the space is visually stunning.

Hotel Le Grand Mazarin Paris

grand mazarin Paris hotel

Hotel Le Grand Mazarin is located in the heart of Le Marais. It is the ideal location if you love to explore and spend time in the Marais. It is a short walking distance to Rue des Rosiers and the Bastille Market, one of my favorite Sunday activities. The hotel opened in October, and I had the opportunity to stay here just as they opened. Hotel openings come with the risk of hiccups, which was not the case with Hotel Le Grand Mazarin.

Everything went above and beyond my expectations with the service and rooms. I ended up splurging for a higher category room and had a balcony looking off on Rue des Archives. The weather in October was warm and a lovely way to end the evening or start the morning. My husband and I enjoyed a bottle of wine, cheese, and baguette while people-watching.

The location is central enough to drop our shopping bags off and return to exploring Paris quickly. We discovered a few new coffee spots near the hotel and went to the Sézane shop in the Marais, which has men’s and women’s clothing.

Breakfast was worth splurging on and is not always something I recommend. You can enjoy breakfast in the hotel restaurant or up in your room. I tried both options and enjoyed breakfast on the balcony with a view of Paris.

Grand Mazarin Paris breakfast Boutique Hotel

The decor of the rooms is colorful and vibrant. One of the features I loved the most was the turndown service each night. The hotel left little surprises such as caramels or marshmallows with the hotel logo next to the bed with water. It was a sweet touch to end the evening.

I loved the bathroom design, shower, and all the Diptyque amenities offered by the hotel.

This hotel is ideal for couples, solo travelers, and families. Don’t miss the beautiful pool design reserved for hotel guests at the base of the hotel.

Le Pavillon de la Reine Boutique Hotel in The Marais

Pavillon de la Reine is another hotel in the heart of The Marais. It is tucked away in the center of Place des Vosges. I found this hotel on my walk back in 2013 and had the pleasure of staying here a few years ago. I have been able to return for stays in both the fall and spring. The balconies in the front are covered in ivy, and the scent of jasmine fills the air in the summer. It is the perfect location in Paris. Interior rooms provide a quieter and more private stay.

Pavillon de la Reine Hotel and Spa Marais boutique hotel

The hotel is within walking distance of so many great tourist destinations in Paris and local Parisian spots in the area. Pro tip: stop by Chez Janou for a glass of wine or dinner on the terrace.

Pavillon de la Reine Paris breakfast

The hotel, Pavillon de la Reine, offers a delicious breakfast. Their coffee is one of my favorites regarding hotel coffee, and I love their croissants. Order a pot of coffee over a café crème or cappuccino. The breakfast room is on the ground floor, where you can enjoy the patio for a cup of afternoon tea or wine. There is a fitness room on the ground floor, a spa, and a hot tub.

Boutique Hotels in Paris Pavillon des Lettres

Pavillon des Lettres is the sister hotel of Pavillon de la Reine. The hotel is located in the 8th arrondissement close to Madeleine and Opéra. I have stayed here twice, and you may be familiar with the name because my art is hanging here for an exhibition. Diderot is one of the best rooms in the hotel, with a wrap-around balcony and a view of the Eiffel Tower.

Pavillon des Lettres Paris Boutique Hotel

Twenty-six rooms comprise the hotel; each is named for a different French author and a letter of the alphabet. The staff is excellent with every detail and is happy to recommend places to eat and drink in the area. Pavillon des Lettres has Le Mess next door for a classic Parisian bistro experience of Mad Men for drinks, which is trendier.

Walk towards The Tuileries for the closest park, just 15 minutes away, or stroll down Rue St. Honoré for shopping and souvenirs. Palais Royal and Louvre are also within close walking distance of the hotel.

Where to Stay in Paris : Relais Christine

relais christine paris courtyard boutique hotel

I have had Relais Christine on my hotel list for years, and I finally made it happen recently. It was worth the wait, and I don’t know why I waited so long. It is the sister hotel to Saint James, where we stayed when we got engaged in Paris. The hotel is located on a side street of Paris that is quiet and quaint and ideally located on the Left Bank for walking to Luxembourg Gardens, great restaurants, jazz, and coffee. The service at the hotel is what sets it apart from so many other hotels. I loved the cozy lobby with a fireplace to warm up on a cold winter evening. There is also an honor bar where you can grab a drink in the evening, enjoy a book, or chat with friends and family.

Relais Christine has a beautiful courtyard covered in lights in the winter months and filled with jasmine in the summer. I need to come back to experience the jasmine-filled courtyard.

My room was a junior suite duplex with a bedroom upstairs and a little sitting room downstairs. The room was 56 for reference if you want to request it when booking. I loved the skylight, especially on rainy evenings.

Enjoy dinner at Chez Fernand just next door for a classic French bistro dinner.

Boutique Hotel Le Cinq Codet

Le Cinq Codet is located on the Left Bank, close to the Eiffel Tower and Invalides. I had the pleasure of staying here in April 2018. My room had stunning views of the Eiffel Tower and was on a quiet street. Don’t miss out on the Sunday Brunch. It is worth it; you can enjoy it in their intimate courtyard. It is a great way to escape the busy city life. This 5-star hotel has incredible service from start to finish.

Maison Athénée

Maison Athénée is a hotel I found had some of the best reviews in Paris while researching for a boutique hotel. They also did a little research on me before I arrived and knew some of my favorite things. This hotel went above and beyond to make my stay a memorable one. I loved the note they included with my breakfast and still keep it. I arrived back at the hotel late at night, and they found something I could eat for dinner, so I didn’t go to bed hungry. There was a great view outside my room located in the 9th arrondissement.

Boutique Hotels in Paris: Maison Mère

maison mere boutique hotel in Paris

Maison Mère initially contacted me, which is how I discovered them. They are a newly opened hotel in the 9th arrondissement. I booked a weekend in Paris, and the city was fully booked, but lucky for me, I could snag a room at this hotel. None of the stays was sponsored. I paid for my room. Google reviews of 4.9 are what convinced me to book this hotel. It is also very close to Adele and Jules, which means I am already familiar with the neighborhood.

Maison Mère is a hotel I continue to return to for its service, location, and clean rooms. It is one of my favorite hotels, and I recommend it often.

The hotel has a co-working space for digital nomads and a Hey Honey bar. I recommend skipping the continental breakfast and hitting a local boulangerie and coffee shop nearby. We walked from the hotel to all the different parts of the city. It is close to Montmartre and a straight walk to Palais Royal.

Budget Boutique Hotels Paris

This is for those seeking an affordable, clean, well-situated Parisian hotel. Room rates can run under $200. I ended up getting upgraded to a lovely balcony room. If it is within your budget, I highly recommend it. We could sit outside with cheese, wine, and a baguette and enjoy the weather.

Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais

hotel caron de beaumarchais

Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais is located on one of my favorite streets in Paris and is in the heart of The Marais. I highly recommend getting a balcony facing the street for a great view. You can have breakfast in your room, and for 12 euros it is the biggest and best breakfast I have enjoyed. The hotel is slightly less modern than others but has lots of charm. Plus, you can’t beat the location.

The rooms have two differences: a courtyard and a street view. For a quiet stay, I recommend a courtyard room. The balconies are only for street views and are worth the upgrade, in my opinion. There are just a small number of rooms at this hotel, and they book up quickly. Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais is worth reserving for a budget-friendly boutique hotel in Paris.

Best Paris Boutique Hotels Hotel Adèle and Jules

everyday parisian adele and jules

This was one of my favorite stays in Paris. This is where we hosted the girl’s Atlas Adventures Paris trip, and everyone enjoyed the hotel just as much as I have in my past stays. I loved the central location and service, and the window view from my hotel room was one to remember. Who wouldn’t want to wake up here? I will say that I have referred many people to this hotel, and I have never heard a bad thing. Everyone is always so happy with their stay, which means a lot to me. I value my recommendations and want you to have a fabulous trip to Paris. It is one of the best hotels in Paris for its value.

budget boutique hotels in Paris

The hotel is in the 9th arrondissement, close to a metro station or a close walk to some great restaurants in Paris. Discover more about the 9th arrondissement in this post here.

Hotel Adèle and Jules is excellent for families and solo travelers. This is the Boutique hotel in Paris that is booked the most of EDP readers. I have had a lot of readers book for adjoining rooms which is helpful for families with kids.

Where to Stay in Paris: Boutique Hotel Pavillon-Faubourg Saint Germain

This is another new hotel located in the heart of Saint-Germain. It is owned by the same group that owns Pavillon de la Reine and Pavillon des Lettres. They have a formula for a good hotel, and it works well. I arrived in Paris just as this hotel was putting the finishing touches before opening in April. Luckily, I could make it back in May and booked a night during my weekend in Paris. Pavillon-Faubourg Saint Germain was fully booked over the weekend but had availability on Sunday night. I wanted to stay here to try it for the blog, so we switched from Right to Left Bank for our last night.

faubourg saint germain paris boutique hotel paris

We had a beautiful view of Paris street. Guest rooms were equipped with the newest technology, including a flat-screen TV, free wifi, and USB chargers. This view was stunning, and the street was so quiet; I wish we could have stayed here longer. Pavillon Faubourg Saint Germain was a dream of a hotel; everything was brand new, and the rain shower after a long day of walking in the city was the perfect place to stop and rest. There was an indoor pool, but we didn’t have a chance to use it during our visit.

pavillon faubourg saint germain paris boutique hotel

I have since stayed in a few different rooms in the hotel and enjoyed my stay.

Hotel Faubourg Saint Germain is 5 minutes from the famous Boulevard Saint Germain des Près in central Paris. You have the best of both worlds with a quiet street and steps away from the best parts of Paris. Museums such as the Louvre and Rodin museum are close by.

Boutique Hotel in Paris Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal

One of my favorite hotels in Paris is the Grand Hotel du Palais Royal. The hotel is just outside Palais Royal, a prime location for exploring Paris. They have views of Paris from the rooms of the Palais Royal and the Eiffel Tower. It is a small hotel, but all the rooms are spacious. Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal has an Eiffel Tower suite with an almost 360-degree view of Paris with a view of the Eiffel Tower. It is within walking distance of The Louvre Museum, The Seine, and The Tuileries Garden.

Pro Tip: Make a reservation for lunch or dinner at Le Lulli inside the hotel. The hotel is a 5-minute walk to Palais Royal for an afternoon stroll and a coffee at Café Kitsuné. This is always the first place I recommend to friends.

Where to Stay in Paris Saint James Paris

Saint James Paris Hotel is a newly remodeled hotel, an old private mansion. It is close to the Arc de Triomphe and has a beautiful garden in the back with a bar. Saint James Paris has a unique hotel was on my bucket list for years. I wanted to stay here for a few years after having a drink at the bar back in 2019. My husband and I stayed here when we were engaged; it will always have personal meaning. Enjoy breakfast in the lovely breakfast room and a cocktail in the library bar.

The hotel is a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Paris. There is a spa and an indoor swimming pool as part of the hotel. This is one of the best boutique hotels in Paris.

Boutique Hotel Paris: Hotel Grand Powers

From the owners of Grand Hotel du Palais Royal, Grand Powers is the old Hotel Powers. It recently changed from a 4-star hotel to a 5-star hotel. This is an excellent option if you are looking for a hotel near the Champs-Élysées. The renovation of the hotel is beautiful and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend getting a balcony for a street view and the Eiffel Tower.

There are a lot of hotels in Paris, and this is just a small handful. I only included the ones I have stayed at, which I hope to add to the list this year.

10 Budget-Friendly Hotels in Paris

I am starting a new series on the blog that is Paris on a Budget. Accommodations can be the most expensive part of trip planning even more than the flight. Once you have the flight booked, you will need to sort out accommodations. This post is an update from an original blog post on Budget Friendly Paris Hotels. Paris hotels have climbed in price due to the large demand for tourism since opening back up. Location and time of year is always a factor that can drastically change a room’s price. Reference the map below to narrow down your selection if there is a certain area you want to be based.

Book your hotel rooms as soon as you have your dates to lock in great deals. As you get closer, the room rate may jump dramatically based on demand. Spring, summer, and fall are all high seasons for Paris.

If there are hotels you have stayed at that you would recommend feel free to leave them in the comments below so we can share them with other readers.

Enjoy the new series and this allows the trip planning process to be easier and more approachable when it comes to budget.

For more details on How Much To Spend in Paris in A Day, you can refer to this post.

Budget Friendly Hotels in Paris: Maison Mère

maison mere paris 9th arrondissement budget hotel

Maison Mère is new on the scene in terms of boutique hotels and is the perfect place to spend a weekend or week in Paris. The rooms are equipped with modern amenities, it is brand new with close proximity to so many of Paris’s tourist attractions. Balconies look onto a quiet street. I recently stayed here earlier this summer and will be back for another stay later this year. The front desk is extremely helpful with any recommendations for places to eat in the area and they will store your luggage while you wait for your room.

There is a restaurant serving continental breakfast just off the lobby of the hotel. It is a short walk to great coffee and bakeries in the area as well. You can see my guide to the 9th arrondissement here for other suggestions in the area.

Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais

budget friendly hotels in Paris

budget friendly hotels in Paris Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais is probably the Boutique Hotel I recommend the most to readers. The hotel is located in the heart of the Marais within walking distance of Place des Vosges, the Bastille Market, and Notre Dame. I stayed here a few years ago and loved my time here. I had a room facing the street and a tiny window where I could have breakfast. You can take breakfast downstairs in the basement but I chose to have it delivered to the room. The whole breakfast for one person was 12 euros and is still the best value for breakfast I have seen in Paris. including pastries, juice, yogurt, coffee, cheese, and a newspaper.

There are also rooms facing the courtyard with quiet rooms. You can’t go wrong and for those who love the Marais, it is an ideal location. I recommend booking this hotel early in your planning process as it does book up quickly.

Hotel Paradis

Images by Hotel Paradis Hotel budget boutique hotel Paris

Centrally located in Paris, Hotel Paradis is perfect for single or couples. The rates are anywhere between $120-$180 depending on the room size. The hotel is between the 9th/10th arrondissements. I stayed here a few years ago in a comfortable room with no frills. One thing I loved about this hotel was the proximity to so many great restaurants in the city. If you are looking for an affordable hotel room, this is a good option. You can spend your budget on food and Paris attractions in the city. Add Bistro Rougemont to your restaurant list and Miznon an affordable sandwich shop is just around the corner  This is a great budget-friendly hotel in Paris option.

Hotel Bienvenue

Hotel Monge

Hotel Monge is located on the Left Bank of Paris and is a quick walk to the Latin Quarter where you will find affordable food and drinks in the city of lights. The hotel has stylish rooms which are modern along with free breakfast and free wi-fi. There is plenty to do in the area including the Jardin des Plantes, Panthéon, and Luxembourg Gardens.

Hotel Grands Boulevards

Images by Hotel Grands Boulevards

Hotel Grands Boulevards is on the pricier end of the budget hotels, where can find a room closer to $200 per night. The hotel is Instagram friendly you may notice some of the images from your favorite bloggers spending time in Paris. I have not stayed here but wouldn’t hesitate in booking a night or two here. It is a 4-star hotel centrally located in the heart of the city which makes most of the city walkable. Unless you are right by the Eiffel Tower, I always feel that is one spot that might not be walkable. You can easily hop on the metro lines or grab an Uber.

Several friends of mine have stayed here over the summer and they specifically asked me to recommend this hotel to readers after their stays. There is a rooftop terrace for drinks and a view of the city of Paris.

Hotel Royal Madeleine

I discovered Hotel Royal Madeleine a few weeks back while doing blog research. I have recommended this place to a few friends and I would love the opportunity to stay here. It is located in the heart of the 8th arrondissement and recently went under a remodel. The hotel looks fantastic and the price is right at $160-$180 per night.

Hotel Adèle and Jules

budget boutique hotels in Paris Hotel Adèle and Jules

Hotel Adèle and Jules budget boutique hotel in Paris

I rave about Adèle and Jules to readers because it is a lovely hotel and good value for the money. We hosted the girl’s Atlas Adventures Paris trips here and it went so well we did it a second time. There are many different types of rooms, some face the exterior quiet street, and the others face the courtyard for a very quiet rest.

The hotel is made up of two identical buildings, one is Adèle and one is called Jules. Adèle and Jules’s hotel staff is helpful with restaurant recommendations and activities in the neighborhood. Breakfast is available in the lobby along with tea time and an honesty bar. Room service is available for breakfast in your room. Balconies face the exterior street view in some rooms and you can sit and enjoy your breakfast. The street the hotel is situated on is a quiet family street. The rooms are a bit pricier than the above Boutique Hotels but this one will still come in under $200, this all depends on the time of year you are booking. Room 42 is the room I stayed in and had plenty of room for two people. Great for couples or friends.

The hotel has private bathrooms and some rooms are small for a solo traveler, they also have adjoining rooms that make it perfect for family rooms if you are traveling with kids. Hotel rooms are extremely clean and the rooms have flat-screen TVs to unwind at the end of the day.

Hotel Thèrese

Hotel Thèrese is the sister hotel of Adèle and Jules that I rave about all the time. The hotel is tucked away on a quiet street just a quick walk to the Louvre museum and easy access to so many of the great Paris first-time tourist spots on your must-see list. This is a great central location for exploring Paris for the first time. I stayed here once and really enjoyed the attention to detail from the desk staff and my room had a view of the quiet street. Hotel Thèrese is also a quick walking distance of Palais Royal and The Tuileries Gardens.

Hotel de la Tamise

Hotel de la Tamise is located in the Louvré- Saint Honoré district in central Paris on a quiet street overlooking The Tuileries Gardens. This hotel is composed of 19 rooms as a small boutique hotel with hotel rooms available for solo travelers and family rooms. You can’t beat the location with a quick walk to The Tuileries, Louvre, and Palais Royal. A walk across the Seine river will take you to St. Germain des Prés.

where to stay in the 7th arrondissement paris france

I hope a lot of you are dreaming and planning your next trip to Paris. We don’t know exactly when travel will resume, but it is always good to start researching. I have had a lot of requests for places to stay in the 7th arrondissement in Paris which is located on the Left Bank close to the Eiffel Tower. This is a pretty classic spot to stay for first-timers and repeat visitors. It is a great location to so many museums and classic spots to visit Paris. There are a good amount of places to eat and drink in the 7th arrondissement as well. Make sure to check the map below for all the locations I recommend.

In this post, I will be sharing some of my favorite places to stay in the 7th arrondissement in Paris along with some reader recommendations.

Le Cinq Codet

I had the opportunity to stay at Le Cinq Codet for my birthday a few years back. The hotel surprised me and upgraded me to one of the amazing suites with a view of the Eiffel Tower and Invalides. I was alone, but it still felt special to have this all to myself. I enjoyed the Eiffel Tower sparkle from the balcony at night.

The hotel has a great quiet courtyard in the middle of the hotel and their brunch is incredible. I highly recommend staying over a weekend so you can enjoy the delicious brunch.

Take a bike ride to Rue Cler with the hotel bikes or make a picnic lunch on the Champs de Mars.

Le Narcisse Blanc

I loved my stay at Le Narcisse Blanc. It was a luxurious and cozy stay that I can’t stop thinking about. Every detail was thought about. I remember having a sore throat and it raining and the tea assortment in the room was just what I needed along with the comfortable bed and robe to keep me warm. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I spent a little time in the lobby waiting for my room to be ready and it was such a fun spot for people watching. I dined solo in the restaurant that evening and I was quick to make friends with the guests dining next to me.

The staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect.

where to stay in the 7th arrondisement in paris france

Hôtel La Comtesse Paris Eiffel

I stayed at Hotel La Comtesse during the Summer after a family trip to the South of France. My room was on the smaller side, but I splurged and paid for a balcony upgrade. It was completely worth it to wake up to this view and see the sunset and sunrise with the Eiffel Tower. You can upgrade even more for a front-facing view which may be worth it if you are on a honeymoon or first-time trip to Paris.

The hotel was affordable, clean, and I found their staff very friendly. I had a few questions and they went out of their way to make sure I got everything I needed for my stay. I checked out and was able to store my bags here all day and they were safe and secure. As a female solo traveler, this was a great option.

The Best Hotels for a Honeymoon in Paris

One of the questions I get asked the most from readers is hotel recommendations for a honeymoon. This post also works for anniversary trips too. This post is filled with ideas for budget-friendly or splurge Paris honeymoon hotels to help you plan.

SAINT JAMES PARIS

best hotels for a honeymoon in Paris everyday parisian

The Saint James Paris has been on my radar for a few years and I finally had a chance to visit in November. Let’s just say it did not disappoint. The courtyard was decorated with white lights for Christmas and I just stood in the courtyard with a huge smile on my face. I was greeted inside by the concierge who was recommended by Thibault at Grand Powers. Thibault arranged for me to have a drink at the bar because he said it was one of the best places in Paris. I had an impromptu tour of the hotel by the concierge before being shown to the bar. There is a courtyard in back that is also perfect for a small wedding. (I asked just in case) To say I have a crush on this hotel is an understatement.

Grand Hotel du Palais Royal

the best honeymoon hotels in paris everyday parisian

Grand Hotel du Palais Royal is one of my favorite hotels in Paris. It is a boutique hotel right behind the Louvre on a tiny street overlooking Palais Royal. It is perfectly tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the center of Paris. If you have the budget, splurge for one of their balconies with an Eiffel Tower view.

the best hotels for a honeymoon in paris everyday parisian

Pavillon de la Reine

I discovered Pavillon de la Reine while walking in the Marais a few years ago. It is in Place des Vosges but tucked away just enough it is easy to pass by. Once you enter the courtyard, you will be enchanted by the ivy-covered building. In the Fall the ivy turns shades of red, yellow and green and I was surprised this past Summer to see it covered in jasmine. (my favorite)

They have a restaurant at the hotel that was just awarded a Michelin star. There are rooms that have windows that open up to the courtyard and you can hear Opera singers on the weekends. This hotel is truly a gem and the perfect spot for a romantic getaway or honeymoon trip.

The Bristol

You may remember The Bristol from Midnight in Paris. This hotel is classic Paris and I have no doubt the stay will be memorable. I have not stayed here yet, but I have enjoyed high tea in the restaurant and the service was perfect. If you aren’t convinced yet, don’t miss the rooftop indoor pool for guests.

Hôtel Plaza Athénée

You will remember Hôtel Plaza Athénée from Sex and the City. This is the hotel Carrie stays with the Russian at the end of the series. The balconies are ones to swoon over and you can even request the Carrie room!

You really can’t beat this location with an Eiffel Tower view from the balcony.

La Reserve

This was a reader recommendation. She stayed at La Reserve Apartments for her honeymoon and said it was fantastic. The Reserve Apartments have all the amenities of the hotel but more space.

The lobby and library is absolutely stunning. I had a tour here a few years ago and got to enjoy a drink in the library. It is quiet and tucked away from the center of the city just enough.

Grand Powers

the best hotels for a honeymoon in paris everyday parisian

I have recommended Grand Powers to readers probably the most over the years and I always get the best reviews back after their stay. Their concierge and staff go above and beyond to make sure guests have the best stay possible. The hotel is located just off the Champs Elysées within walking distance to great restaurants and the Seine.

Some rooms have Eiffel Tower views and balconies.

The Ritz Paris

the best honeymoon hotels in paris france everyday parisian

The Ritz Paris reopened in 2016 after being closed for four years for renovation. I have not had the opportunity to stay at the hotel yet, but I hope to in the near future. I had a cocktail at Hemingway Bar with a friend which is always a fun experience. If you don’t have the chance to book a room at The Ritz Paris, you can enjoy a cocktail at the bar one night. Make sure to keep an eye out for Colin the famous bartender.

Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais

I know everyone isn’t on the same budget so I am going to include one adorable boutique hotel that would be a great option. I have stayed at Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais and loved it. It is right in the heart of the Marais and a perfect location. I have recommended this hotel to so many people over the years and everyone has come back with rave reviews. I highly recommend booking a balcony room with an exterior facing room. They have a courtyard option which is more quiet. Order the breakfast, it is one of the best values in the city. It is 12 euros and you can have it delivered to your room and there is enough for two people.

Hotel Grand Powers

New Boutique Hotels in Paris

There are so many options when it comes to accommodations in Paris. When I was a kid, I wanted to own my own boutique hotel. I started with a fascination with hotels at an early age and I am always researching new places to discover when I visit Paris. I have a list of favorite Boutique Hotels in Paris from my stays over the years. Below, I am sharing 5 new hotels that have opened recently if you are looking for something new and different in Paris.

If you have a favorite Boutique Hotel in Paris, comment below and share!

Grand Powers

Grand Powers formerly known as Hotel Powers was recently remodeled from a four-star hotel and opened as a five-star hotel in early 2019. I stayed at the Hotel Powers a few times over the years and really enjoyed this hotel. It was a bit outdated including the bathrooms but I loved the old structure and detail of the building. I haven’t stayed here since the remodel but I did get to enjoy breakfast and a look inside some of the rooms.

The Eiffel Tower view from the balcony is one of my favorites. The location is on Rue François 1er just off the Champs Elysées.

Hotel Alfred Sommier

The 80 room hotel including 22 suites is located close to Madeleine. The five star hotel is tucked away between Faubourg Saint Honoré and Galleries Lafayette. Don’t miss their private garden.

Book Here

Hotel Du Louvre

Hotel Du Louvre has just reopened after being remodeled and purchased by Hyatt. This hotel is part of my Paris story, I never stayed here but I met friends here in 2013 and it was one of my most memorable nights out in Paris to date. The location is pretty perfect in my opinion. Just at the end of Avenue de L’Opéra close to Palais Royal and The Louvre. The Hotel is a bit larger than the rest of the hotels on the list with a 164 rooms but it has been on my watch list since it closed. I really wanted to see what they did with the space and they really brightened it up and made a great addition to the neighborhood. They also own the restaurant Brasserie du Louvre that is worth a visit for a drink and people watching if nothing else

Hôtel Flanelles

Hôtel Flanelles is in the 17th Arrondissement tucked away being the Arc de Triumph close enough to the city but tucked away for privacy and off the between path. The Hotel is just 25 rooms with services such as a private changing area if you arrive too early for check in and a library area to work on your laptop or hold meetings.

Hôtel La Comtesse

I recently stayed at Hôtel La Comtesse a new boutique hotel in Paris during my visit in June. The view from the balcony of the Eiffel Tower was everything. I was very familiar with the area after my stay with Paris Perfect Rentals. It was around the corner from Rue Cler and a good location to explore the city. I watched the Eiffel Tower sparkle from my room and enjoyed breakfast on my little terrace.

It was 40 euros to guarantee the balcony upgrade but it was worth it in my opinion. I only booked her for one night so it was worth the splurge in my opinion. There are direct views of the Eiffel Tower and side views. I only had a side view which was totally ok. I might go for the direct view if I was traveling with someone on a future visit.

The staff was excellent and the room was clean and I felt really safe walking back or taking an Uber late at night. I left my bags here until very late at night when switching hotels and it wasn’t an issue at all. They were happy to make recommendations in the neighborhood for coffee or anything else I needed.

25 Paris Hotels with Eiffel Tower Views

I am always looking for somewhere new and interesting to stay when I travel to Paris. It is great to research and it puts me in different parts of the city. I have my eye on hotels that are opening or being remodeled as well as hidden gems. I came up with the idea to put together a list of Paris hotels with Eiffel Tower views. If it is your first trip to Paris or you are celebrating a milestone birthday or anniversary, I can’t think of anything better than an Eiffel Tower view.

The list took a while to put together and has been sitting on my desk for months. It grows a little at a time as I research and read about Paris. I intended on 10 hotels in Paris that grew to almost 30. I cut it down for this post so it wasn’t too much.

During my couple trips to Paris, all I wanted was a balcony and an Eiffel Tower view. It still gets me after 20 trips later, I will never complain about a view of the Eiffel Tower especially at night to see it sparkle. This list is a resource for anyone planning a trip to Paris and is looking for a hotel with an Eiffel Tower view. I wanted to give options on prices as I know everyone has different budgets. I have a few bucket list hotels on this list too. A girl can dream, right? If I missed a hotel, please feel free to mention it in the comments below.

I stayed here in October 2018 on my last nights in Paris. It was fairly reasonable and the large balcony view overlooking the rooftops and Eiffel Tower were well worth it. The hotel is situated close to the Opéra and Gare Saint-Lazare.

Hotel Eber Paris

Rooms run around $100 and some have Eiffel Tower Views. It isn’t a luxury hotel but the location is to Rue Cler which puts you right in the heart of the city.

Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel

You can’t get much closer to the Eiffel Tower than Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel. There are more than 400 rooms in this hotel, so it is a bit different than the 40 room Boutique Hotels.

Hotel la Bourdonnnais

Hotel la Bourdonnais is a 4 star hotel close to Rue Cler. Prices for rooms start at $150 and you have Eiffel Tower views.

Hotel Plaza Tour Eiffel

I stayed at Plaza Tour Eiffel a few years ago and loved the location of Trocadero. The hotel is tucked away on a side street but there is still close access to bistros and cafés. I had a lovely Eiffel Tower view to wake up to every morning. The decor of the hotel is a little more outdated than other hotels but the price and location make up for it.

Pavillon des Lettres

25 hotels with Eiffel Tower views

I stayed at Pavillon des Lettres and loved my time here. I had a balcony and Eiffel Tower view that I enjoyed with the warm weather. I was in room Diderot if you want to book the same room. This hotel is by the same owners at Pavillon de la Reine.

Hotel la Comtesse

Paris hotels with Eiffel Tower Views

Hotel La Comtesse is just minutes from the Rodin Museum and Invalides on the Left Bank. This is very close to where I stayed during my solo first trip to Paris. It is a great location for a base to see all the different sites in Paris. I stayed here a few summers ago and had a great view of the Eiffel Tower from a balcony. You have the option to pay an additional fee to have an Eiffel Tower view.

Terass Hotel Montmartre

If you are looking to stay in Montmartre but don’t want to book an apartment, Hotel Terass is a great option. The best of both worlds. Don’t miss their rooftop terrace for a view of the Eiffel Tower and a glass of wine.

If you are looking for Eiffel Tower views on a budget, Hotel Ares Hotel l has rates as low as $135. It isn’t the most centrally located hotel but if you are willing to compromise a little with the price it is a great option. It wouldn’t be for a first-time visitor hotel.

Hotel Le Littre

Hotel Le Littre is located in the 6th arrondissement and is 10 minute walk to Luxembourg Gardens. The hotel comes in at under $200 and is a great option for first-time or returning Paris visitors.

Luxury Hotels

Le Cinq Codet

I stayed at Le Cinq Codet for my birthday in 2018. I was completely surprised by an upgrade to their top suite with Eiffel Tower views. I drank champagne and watched the Eiffel Tower sparkle from my room. It will be hard to top my birthday this year.

Hotel San Regis

Who wouldn’t want to wake up to this view at Hotel San Regis. The hotel is steps away from Avenue Montaigne (Dior) and the Champs Elysées. Click through here to see the stunning photos of the Hotel. I would visit just for a cocktail. It has old world boutique hotel charm.

Grand Hotel du Palais Royal

25 hotels with Eiffel Tower views Grand Hotel du Palais Royal

Grand Hotel du Palais Royal has been one of my personal favorite hotels in Paris for a few years now. It is located just by Palais Royal gardens. You can walk through in the early morning and grab a coffee at Café Kitsuné. The panoramic suite has beautiful views from the balcony of the city and an Eiffel Tower view.

Hotel Balzac

Enjoy Eiffel Tower views from the balcony at Hotel Balzac. Located just off the Champs Elysées. If this is your first time to Paris and you are looking to be right in the heart of the city, this is a great option.

Grand Powers

25 Hotels with Eiffel Tower Views Grand Powers

Hotel Grand Powers just went under a complete renovation to bring it from a 4 star hotel to a 5 star hotel. I have stayed here a few times as a 4 star and I loved the Parisian details. There were parts of it that were dated but with the remodel, it looks stunning. They used my favorite rose pink and gold accents as the main colors of the hotel. I can’t wait to stay here in 2019.

Hotel Rapahel

Hôtel Plaza Athénee is a splurge but if you are on a honeymoon or anniversary trip it is well worth it. You may remember this hotel from Sex and the City. Carrie Bradshaw stays here in the final Season of the show when she goes to Paris. You can even request her room 609 for the full experience.

Hotel Le Meurice

25 Hotels with Eiffel Tower Views Le Meurice Every Day Parisian

Le Meurice has a fabulous location on Rue de Rivilol in between the Tuileries Gardens and the Louvre. I have had dessert and drinks here but I haven’t stayed for a night. I have had a tour of some of the rooms and I was impressed with every detail.

Peninsula Paris

The Peninsula Paris is a stunning property. I had a tour a few years back and dream of staying in one of their rooms. Located in the 16th arrondissement, the hotel is just a quick walk to the Champs Elysées. If you don’t want to splurge on a room here, you can still enjoy the view for a cocktail or meal at their rooftop bar/restaurant.

Le Bristol

You may remember The Bristol from Midnight in Paris. I have only been for High Tea so far but staying here is on my Paris bucket list. They have an amazing rooftop pool to enjoy if you are a guest. There are several special Suites that are available at the hotel. The Paris Suite has a fabulous Eiffel Tower View.

According to Trip Advisor, Hotel Fabric is the #6 Hotel in Paris. I don’t know about you, but when I am researching hotels, I am always looking for reviews to read before booking. I think where you stay can make or break a visit to any city. This is one of the reasons why I visit so many hotels for the blog. I want my readers to have the best visit possible and that starts with where you stay. Hotel Fabric is the sister hotel of Hotel Monge.

where to stay in paris hotel fabric

Hotel Fabric welcomes guests by checking them in at a seated desk. Instead of the traditional standing desk you see at more traditional hotels. I was greeted with a smile and immediately offered a warm drink in the lobby. They have tea and coffee available with madeleines throughout the day.

Guests can help themselves throughout the day. This is also where they host an honest bar in the evenings where you can get a glass of wine/beer/spirit for a reasonable price. You just mark what you took and they will add it onto your room bill.

What I Loved about the room:

The bed was extremely comfortable and I didn’t want to leave when it came time to wake up.

There was a desk for me to work at. It was small but fit my laptop and notebook just fine. I had some late nights in Paris so catching up on work was essential.

It was dark to take a photo but in the closet area, there was a safe that was large enough for ALL of my things. Computer, hard drive, passport, camera and lenses. It is all too often, I am stuck with a hotel that can’t fit my belongings and it is so frustrating.

A tiny fridge was located on the bottom shelf of the closet with cold drinks. Sodas and waters were available for 3 euros. The price is completely reasonable and this was available without leaving your room.

A simple but much appreciated touch in the room was the Evian. One thing about me is that I am ALWAYS thirsty. These came in handy because I could easily pop one in my bag to keep hydrated through out the day.

The lobby has a great selection of books that you can read and reference. The staff is also great at making suggestions in the area for food or drinks. Breakfast is served in the lobby and you can sit wherever you like. I loved the cozy atmosphere of the space.

For a reference of what is in the area, you can download this map. I loved that there was a Franprix just next door. You can pick up snacks/water/wine here.

This was a sponsored stay in partnership with Hotel Fabric. All opinions are my own.

P.S. Don’t miss Where to Eat and Drink in Paris and take a look at the sister hotel Hotel Monge on the Left Bank of Paris.

paris guide to the marais every day parisian

The Marais has become one of my favorite places to visit and stay in Paris over the years. It was in Place des Vosges in 2011 that I decided I wanted to move to Paris. I wanted to move right there in Place des Vosges. The dream came true in 2013, but I lived a bit further out in Montmartre. My dreams were bigger than my bank account at the time. But a few years later I was able to rent an apartment in The Marais and it was better than I could have pictured. I now travel back and forth from Chicago to Paris a few times a year switching between apartment rentals and hotels depending on my schedule. I discovered Pavillon de la Reine on my usual walk through the Marais. It is tucked back just far enough that you may not notice it walking by, but once you do you feel you have discovered a gem in Paris. Pavillon de la Reine is located right in the heart of Place des Vosges making it the most ideal location to move around The Marais.

The hotel is tucked away and you may not notice it at first. This is the beauty of the hotel that it is right in Place des Vosges but just behind a door. You can relax in the the courtyard for breakfast, tea, or a glass of wine/cocktail.

place des vosges paris france

My room was facing the exterior courtyard with a view outside. I enjoyed breakfast in the lobby one morning and one morning in my room. The breakfast buffet is a mixture of hot and cold and not to be missed. I am picky with my coffee (as you all know by now) but I really loved the coffee at the hotel and finished the entire pot which was probably meant for two..

My room was an adorable duplex with bright colors. There was a sitting room on the first floor and the bedroom was upstairs.

Place des Vosges is one of my favorite places to picnic. You can see on the map below I highlighted where to pick up picnic supplies. If you are staying at the hotel on Thursday or Sunday, don’t miss the Bastille Market. You can pick up lots of fun fruits, cheeses, and other picnic foods here. There are also other options for takeaway food options from Carette, Maison Plison and the Boulangerie 28 Blvd Beaumarchais.

If you are up for a good cup of coffee and a walk, one of my favorite spots is Boot Café. The space isn’t too large but you can takeaway and stroll. I typically order a café crème or in the Summer a iced latte. Both run around 4 euros.

Don’t miss a stop at Merci Used Book Store and Shop. They have great housewares, linens, and clothing. I love their paper section too!

I loved using Pavillon de la Reine as my base for exploring Le Marais. I hope you have the chance to explore this area on your next visit to Paris. Feel free to save the map and download it to your phone to use as a reference.

A Weekend at Grand Hotel du Palais Royal

When it comes to where to stay in Paris, I can’t think of a better location than Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal. It is located between Palais Royal and The Louvre on a small street called Rue Valois. You can take the metro just a two minute walk from the hotel. I love that the hotel is so centrally located but away just enough to be private and intimate.

If you arrive to Paris on a Friday or stay through Monday, I highly recommend eating lunch at Le Lulli. It is one of my hidden gem spots that I always recommend for a restaurant close to The Louvre. I had lunch here earlier in the week during my visit and the restaurant was almost at full capacity. You can dine outside if the weather permits.

le lulli grand hotel du palais royal

For a weekend in Paris, you are surrounded by so much of Paris by foot. Some of the rooms even have Eiffel Tower views so you can see it sparkle in your bathrobe. Just for reference, I stayed in Room 502 at Grand Hotel du Palais Royal. The terrace and views were one of my favorite parts about the room. I invited friends over for a little impromptu sunset viewing with a bottle of champagne because it was an incredible spot to watch the sunset.

A lot of people love seeing The Tuileries just outside the Louvre. It is just a quick walk from Grand Hotel du Palais Royal. You can pack a picnic or bring a book for great people watching.

tuileries gardens paris france

While I stayed at the hotel, I woke up early for a walk through Palais Royal which is a very special place for me. ( I lived around the corner back in 2013) I always visit The Bastille Market on Sunday’s so I hopped on Line 1 which was just outside the hotel for a 13 minute ride to the market. I picked up peonies and stopped by some of my favorite vendors.

grand hotel du palais royal

I ordered room service the night before to arrive at 10 am. I am an early riser so there was plenty of time not to rush back before breakfast. There was a Nespresso machine in my room, so I was able to have my first cup of coffee without leaving the room.

grand hotel du palais royal paris france

My bathroom was so spacious that I took full advantage of the bath and shower options.

palais royal paris france

Just to show you how close exactly Palais Royal is to the hotel. A lot of people are out and about running here in the morning. If you are a runner, you can get in as early as 8 am to the gardens. On nice days, Palais Royal will fill up pretty quickly with people, dogs, and kids. But it is a great spot for people watching and a cup of coffee at café Kitsuné.

You might imagine that with a view like this, giving back the key is never easy. One of my guilty pleasures is hanging out in the intimate lobby at the hotel. You can grab a drink at the bar or take a tea and sit on the couches and read a book or work on your computer. The lobby has a signature scent that smells SO good. Right now there is a candle by my bedside table with that exact scent.

Feel free to download the map and save it for your next trip to Paris. If you have friends traveling to Paris, please pass this along.

Don’t miss coffee spots, where to explore by foot, and where to eat on a Sunday near the hotel all on the map.

This post was a partnership between me and Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal. All opinions are my own. Make sure to stay tuned for the reopening of the Grand Powers (one of my personal favorites) at the end of 2018.

Paris Hotel Le Cinq Codet

I am typically a Left Bank girl, when I recently discovered Le Cinq Codet I was thrilled at the opportunity to explore more of the area and discover some new streets. My first solo trip to Paris was in 2010, and it wasn’t too far from this hotel. It has been a long time since I stayed in this area. I had a few favorite spots, but I did find some new places that I didn’t know before. You can see the map below on where to eat, drink, and explore in the neighborhood.

I arrived the day after my birthday and I was a bit groggy upon arrival. The hotel greeted me with a birthday gift of an incredible upgrade to their nicest suite. My face was pretty much mouth dropped and eyes open wide. The gentleman showed me around and I was pretty quiet just taking it all in.

le cinq codet paris france

The bathroom was pretty incredible. I don’t think I have seen anything like it. I felt like I had my own personal spa all to myself. I unpacked all my cosmetics and toiletries and was ready to freshen up for the day before my meetings.

Why fight the crowds at the Eiffel Tower when you can sip champagne and have this view from your private terrace?

Don’t miss the hotel brunch which is well worth the value. There are so many options, of course I felt I had to sample just about everything for research purposes of course 😉

le cinq codet paris france brunch pastries

If you are curious about the pastries, let me tell you they were amazing. My compliments to the pastry chef. I asked the staff about the pastry specifically because I wanted to know which boulangerie supplied them, but they are all made in house. There are gluten free options too which I was pleasantly surprised to see. This was one of the only things I did not try at brunch but I have no doubt they were tasty.

You have the option to enjoy champagne with your brunch, I went with the rosé champagne. There is an outside courtyard that is so peaceful and a beautiful setting for a meal or a drink.

le cinq codet paris france

There was a vegetable and salad station which you could choose which you wanted. I am not the biggest vegetable person but I was surprised how much I liked everything that I tried. There was a cauliflower couscous that was fantastic. The brunch offered a meat and one fish each week. They let me order a little of each and cooked it to your liking, I had fillet and seared tuna.  I finished the meal with dessert. I couldn’t decide so they brought me one of each. The Paris Brest was out of this world good and I would have been happy with the other half and skipping the rest. I am so happy I waited to eat brunch since it was a very filling meal. I wasn’t hungry until much later in the day.

le cinq codet paris france brunch

The hotel had excellent turn down service. I arrived back from my first day out and had slippers by my bed, water, and chocolate on my pillow. The curtains were pulled to block the morning light. I loved every moment at this hotel.

I felt extremely lucky to have this experience. This video of the Eiffel tower sparkling is for those of you who haven’t made it to Paris yet or for those that are wishing to go and you haven’t had the chance. I wanted to share this with you.

For places to eat and explore close to the hotel you can view on the map. Feel free to download it and use while staying at the hotel. You don’t need wifi to use the map.

A huge thank you to Le Cinq Codet for hosting me and making my birthday one I won’t forget. All opinions are my own.

Located on Rue Jacob just steps from St Germain de Près, you will find the charming boutique Hôtel des 2 Continents. I must have walked by them a dozen times but this was my first time inside. I booked one night for my stay on the left bank this last trip in Paris. I wanted to be close to everything when exploring and you cannot beat this location. I checked in and was given a key to the top floor. I was hoping for a balcony but didn’t know what I would be given. You have to take the elevator to the 5th floor and climb the additional one flight. I took the stairs the rest of my stay since I knew there were croissants in my future 😉

hotel des 2 continents paris france

hotel des 2 continents paris

My room was small, but it is normal for Paris and for only being one person it wasn’t an issue. The balcony more than made up for it. I spent way too much time looking down rue jacob and people watching. As the sun set, you could see people walking past Ladurée and cars heading off for the weekend.

The hotel has a nespresso machine in the lobby for the guests throughout the day. I took full advantage of this before my walk with Corey.

From the Seine you can walk down rue de seine and stop at La Palette for great people watching.

The hotel is close to the heart of St Germain de Près with lots of café options to choose from.

I was so exhausted after my full day, I ended up eating very close to the hotel. I also recommend Le Relais Entrecôte for Steak Frîtes.

The breakfast at the Hôtel des 2 Continents was quite unique as they had a build your own juice bar. You customize your fruits and vegetables into your own personal juice. I took the suggestion of the staff and they created a healthy juice with carrots, oranges, and apples. The entire breakfast display was filled with fruits and veggies that you can select for your juice. It wasn’t all about the croissant, which I also took.

hotel des 2 continents paris france

You can choose to dine downstairs for breakfast or upstairs in your room. Since I had a lovely balcony I wasn’t going to miss out on that view with a cup of coffee. It is an addition 1 euro to have your breakfast in your room, but it was worth it.

hotel des 2 continents paris france

I didn’t want to give the key back to this room either. The view was one of my favorites from any hotel stay in Paris. If you are a left bank fan and want to stay in the heart of St Germain this is a great option. The rates are reasonable and budget friendly. I stayed on the 6th floor for those of you wanting to book my room.
