While my husband and I are already familiar with Bon Marché for both men’s and women’s clothing and the food hall, I’d also recommend BHV, especially for men’s clothing ( a dedicated store adjacent to the main department store–they are also happy to order items from other Paris department stores if out of stock there for you to pick up at the other department store. Another very characterful and stylish men’s boutique, founded by British francophile Patrick Hollington in 1974. is Hollington , 9 rue Racine 75006 which sells elegant but casual clothing for men==as though you just walked out of your architect’s studio. They also offer on the spot tailoring efficiently delivered. Mr. Hollington was a wonderful designer, rigorous on construction and choice of materials, a marvellous warm personality, often in the shop and personally advising and fitting clients, a sad casualty of the first days of Covid. He loved riding his big motorcycle around Paris, a sight now much missed.
