I stayed at the Publishing House in Chicago a few weeks ago and highly recommend it: https://www.publishinghousebnb.com/. Great location, gorgeous decor, delicious breakfast, and two pugs that live onsite – Angus and Louie. What could be better?

I lived in Europe twice and each time I took my dog with me. Because of their size (retrievers and cocker spaniels) they had to travel in cargo. It was very very stressful and difficult for my dogs. If you were moving overseas and would spend a couple of years like I was then you don’t have a choice. But to make your dog go through cargo just for a vacation I would say don’t do it. Especially with delays, extreme weather etc . Just too stressful for your dog and too risky .
