Thank you so much, Darina!

I am lucky to have had such beautiful memories and a great experience in Paris. Patience is so important in France! I love that life slows down a bit when I am away. I am really looking forward to that this Spring when I am back. I hope you get the chance to live abroad and experience all it has to offer!

Hi Jessica,

Thank you so much! I am so glad you enjoyed the post. Yes, I do think we take things for granted sometimes when we are very lucky to have so much available to us.

French butter is SO good! I will have to visit you for a dose of Pastoral butter with fleur de sel to put on my La Fournette baguette sometime soon! Also, I need some good comte!

xo

Happy Spring!

Hi Susan,

Thank you so much for the sweet words! Reminding you to take the time to enjoy life is the best compliment. I know it isn’t always easy when life moves so fast but it is so important to take the time to appreciate the small things.

I am so happy you had a fabulous facial at Caudalie. I love their products! I need to schedule a facial when I am back in Paris for April. It is so wonderful that they are in the States and we can get our beauty junkie fix.

I hope you get the chance to visit Paris again soon. I will be in NYC this summer if you want to take a little trip to visit 🙂

Best wishes and Happy Spring!

I found your blog a few weeks ago, and I’m enjoying all of your posts! I spent a lot of time in Europe throughout college and grad school and miss traveling so much. I’m planning several long weekend trips this year and hope to make it back to Paris next year. Your blog helps me to get my Parisian fix when I need it. 🙂

I thought of you last weekend – I am also a skincare junkie. Caudalie opened a store and spa in DC (which is where I live) about two years ago. I went for my first facial there last weekend, and it was heavenly! Thank you for the beautiful blog and for reminding me to take time to enjoy life.

It’s amazing to me how even shorter trips to new places can change my outlook and approach to life – as I see how different cultures live and spot the things my own culture takes for granted.

I completely agree on the walking and style points! And especially the French butter!! I can’t do regular American butter anymore, so Kerrygold salted butter is my day-to-day option. When I want to splurge, we have the most amazing French butter at Pastoral (beurre de baratte with big flakes of fleur de sel). It’s so good, I nearly cried the first time I tasted it because I knew I had found something comparable to what I had in France. Stop by and I’ll hook you up!

You have such a beautiful experience! I never lived abroad but maybe one day I will… Paris feels like my second hometown 🙂 I live in Holland and I see the difference between my own country and France and that’s about your last paragraph: Patience! When I am in France I calm down..in Holland everything and everyone is so busy, sometimes I can’t handle that too 🙂
