Microplane Grater Zester : Favorite Kitchen Gadgets

I use citrus in my cooking all the time. Lemon zest gives recipes a pop of flavor. I love adding lemon to my madeleines. You can also use this Microplane for Parmesan cheese or garlic. We use this exact tool daily.

    Vegetable Peeler

I make salads just about daily and I use this vegetable peeler for carrots. This vegetable peeler has held up over the time and easy to wash in the dishwasher.

Kitchen Scale: Kitchen Gadgets I Love

I purchased this kitchen scale off of Amazon in 2021 and it is still going strong for $10. If you do not bake with a scale, you are missing out. This is a game changer and so easy to use. I typically look for the gram weight of flour, sugar, and butter if it is not listed in a recipe. Some recipes will have the grams listed next to the cups (thank you!) Others take a quick minute to look up. I need to tape the different weights on the scale.

For example, one cup of flour is 120 grams. I use clear glass bowls. See below to measure each ingredient.

    Stacking Glass Bowls

These are the perfect glass bowls that stack inside for easy storage. When I bake or cook, each ingredient goes inside. It makes it easy to organize and weigh all your wet and dry ingredients.

My sister noticed these on her visit and requested a set for her birthday earlier this year. I use these all the time!

    Lemon and Lime Juicer

I use this lemon and lime juicer all the time! We are constantly looking for it. If it is not in the drawer, it in the dishwasher. The smaller slot is for limes, the larger is for lemons. I use citrus juice for marinades and dressings.

It is also great for cocktails for citrus juice!

Silicone Pastry Brush: Favorite Kitchen Gadgets

I don’t know where I bought my rubber brush, but I love it and would be lost without it. It can be used for oil, butter, or marinades. What I love about it is how easily you can clean it. Everything comes off the rubber with soap and water.

    Pizza Cutter

Pizza night is a weekly staple on our dinner menu. My husband takes charge and we typically grab dough from Whole Foods and make our own at home. We use this pizza cutter all the time.

You can also use this with quesadillas, tortillas for homemade chips, and baking.

    Metal Scooper

This metal scooper comes in handy more than you would imagine. I use it for baking madeleines, cookies, and muffins. Each dessert is perfectly measured and dough dispensed with the flick of the wrist. The metal scooper cleans easily with soap and water or the dishwasher.

It also makes meatballs a breeze. I use these for What’s Gaby Cookings Parmesan meatballs.

There are a lot of different size options for the metal scoopers. I found that the 2 tablespoon size works best.

Material Cutting Boards: Favorite Kitchen Gadgets

I use my cutting boards daily for lunch and dinner prep. Fruits and vegetables go into glass containers in our fridge.

When it comes to cutting boards, I love the ones from Material. They come in great colors and are made from recycled plastic. I prefer to cut meat and produce on boards that can be washed. Wood boards are great but I worry about meat and bacteria.

*The brand gifted me two boards to try. I loved them so much I plan on purchasing more.

    Metal Whisk

I use my metal whisk for baking often to mix ingredients. A few on hand are always good because one is always dirty.

Personally, I love a small whisk for dressings. If you don’t own one, I highly recommend adding at least one to your kitchen gadget drawer.
